Policy
Lawns, Borders & Landscapes (LBL) does
not require a contract or service agreement to be signed by the customer.
LBL is from the old school where I take your word and you take mine, where
agreements are based on your and my word and a handshake. If for any reason
you or I may cancel the service to your property at any time as long as any
outstanding payments due are paid in full. It does not benefit you or LBL to
be locked into something that neither party wants or benefits from.
LBL
requests you pay for service every 3 – 4 weeks or sooner. Property owners,
customers, or agents that exceed a 6 week period with no payment being sent
to LBL are subject to interruption in service. If work or total due exceeds
a 8 week period a 15 % additional fee will be added to the total costs of
services due. Services or total due that exceed 12 weeks will incur a 25 %
additional fee to the total cost which is due.
LBL
accepts cash, personal checks, company check, and most major credit cards.
In the event a check bounces or a credit card transaction is refused a
$25.00 returned check or denied transaction fee will incur in addition to
the amount originally due. This denied transaction fee is in addition to any
fee you incur from your financial institution.
To protect LBL’s interest, if it is
necessary to use a collection agency to collect a debt, the property owner,
customer, or agent will be responsible for paying all collection charges LBL
incurs in the collection of the amounts owed. In the event the account is
referred to an attorney, the property owner, customer or agent will be
responsible for paying all charges and expenses, including reasonable
attorney charges and court costs, to the extent permitted by law.
It is the responsibility of the property
owner, customer, or agent to ensure free and safe access to all areas
requiring work. There is no discount for inaccessible areas due to locked
gates, construction, vicious pets, etc. Requests to work previously
inaccessible areas on a day other than the normal scheduled service day will
result in a $25.00 trip charge in addition to the cost of the individual
service.
All
areas to be serviced should be free of trash, paper, toys, garden hoses,
tools, etc. LBL will not pick these up prior to servicing your property
unless the cost is included in our mutual agreement.
Trampolines, playhouses, hammocks, lawn furniture, ladders, grills, bikes,
hose carts, etc. will be moved the first time into a finished turf area.
They will not be moved back into their original location and the property
owner, customer, or agent is responsible for ensuring the trampoline,
playhouse, hammock, lawn furniture, etc. is safe before returning it to
use. LBL encourages you to rotate your items so that areas that were not
serviced one week due to the above, can be serviced the following week.
Some property owners, customers, or
agents require year around service while others require only service during
the growing season from March until October. Services will continue as
originally agreed upon and as scheduled unless notified by phone, email, or
normal mail to discontinue service or specific parts of your service
(leaving a voice mail is not acceptable).
If
customer is not satisfied with any lawn maintenance or landscape work they
are required to contact LBL within 24 hours of the work being completed. LBL
will come back and correct if the complaint is due to the work performed or
caused by LBL. Since LBL does not control the amount of or lack of watering
that new trees, shrubs, flowers, vines, etc. will receive the vegetation
cannot be guaranteed for a period of more than 7 days.
Landscape and lawn maintenance
quotations are valid for a period of 30 days from date of quotation. After
30 days the quotation is subject to change due to material costs, work
loads, etc.
